Sustainable water services for multiple uses within selected community conservancies in Kenya

Project duration: Jan 2017 – Dec 2019

This project was part of the larger Climate Resilient Community Conservancies Program (CRCCP) that aimed at improving the climate resilience and the water security situation in identified community conservancies in the arid and semi-arid regions of Northern Kenya. The main activities undertaken under project included water resources mapping, assessing future water availability based on changes in climate variables from the HadRM3P regional climate model, and establishing a working framework to link community conservancies to development partners. The project also involved the design and construction of water supply infrastructure in critically water- stressed areas identified through participatory mapping.
